A car crashed through an Avenue F building injuring two people – one of them seriously – at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, March 23, Bay City police reported.
Police responded to a call in reference to a major crash at the 4300 block of Ave. F.
Officers saw that a vehicle crashed through a building at 4313 Ave. F.
A female was partially ejected at the rear back window, reports show.
A male on scene was identified as the driver.
Both subjects were taken to Matagorda Regional Medical Center and the female was later flown by helicopter to a Houston hospital, police said.
Officers said it appeared the vehicle was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed and went off the road into a ditch, losing control.
The vehicle then flipped over a couple of times and went into the building, reports show.
Officers said they saw possible signs of intoxication from the male driver, and a DWI blood warrant was obtained and done at the hospital.
The case is still under investigation pending results of the blood sample, police said.
