Constellation Energy successfully completed their purchase of NRG Energy’s 44 percent stake in STP, the nuclear plant announced recently.
Constellation Energy now joins CPS Energy and Austin Energy as official Owners of STP.
“Constellation brings a great deal of experience in nuclear energy to our Owners’ Group,” STP said in a press release.
“We are looking forward to working with them and all our owners to continuously drive improvements in our business for STP’s long-term success.”
“STP Nuclear Operating Company’s structure remains the same and we continue to manage the plant for our Owners, who share the energy produced in proportion to their ownership interest:
- Austin Energy, 16 percent
- CPS Energy, 40 percent
