A 26-year-old woman was found dead on the side of County Road 207 (Villa Drive) Thursday morning, Jan. 6, Matagorda County Sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputies identified the person as Angelica Marie LaShelle Thomas, 26, from Bay City.
The sheriff’s office is investigating this ongoing case along with Texas Rangers.
The sheriff’s office sent deputies to the location on the southeast edge of Bay City after receiving a report of a person laying on the side of the roadway.
Deputies arrived on scene and discovered the person was dead, reports show.
