Two warrants for aggravated assault were served stemming from an investigation on a case officers were called to on May 22, in the 1700 block of Avenue M.
During that call, officers found two subjects inside a residence who were assaulted and were later taken to Matagorda Regional Medical Center and then to Houston.
Detectives have been diligently working to identify and arrest the suspect, police said.
They were able to successfully identify the suspect as Michael C. Blackmon, 36, of Bay City.
The warrants were served on Thursday, May 25, and he was being held at the Matagorda County Jail.
