A motorcyclist was killed in an accident with a pickup truck near Avenue F Golden shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, Bay City police said.
Officers were sent to the area on Avenue F and Golden in reference to a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.
Officers arrived to find the motorcycle driver lying in the roadway and he appeared to be seriously injured, police reports show.
Bay City EMS arrived and transported him.
It was later learned, police said, that the driver of the motorcycle had died.
Officers were told there was a Dodge Ram pickup traveling southbound in the 900 block of Avenue F attempting to make a left turn onto Golden.
The driver of the motorcycle was traveling northbound.
The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup failed to yield right of way turning left and the motorcycle struck the passenger compartment of the pickup, police said.
The case is still under investigation.
