Lorrie Elaine Goodman

September 29, 1991-August 20, 2021
Lorrie Elaine Goodman was born September 29, 1991, to Cleven Douglas Goodman and Robbie Jo Stangeland in Bay City, Texas.
She was the oldest of five.
Lorrie attended Bay City High School.
She went on to be a dental assistant and attended Wharton County Junior College for an Associate’s in General Studies.
She began her Dental Hygienist program around August 2020, but unfortunately was not able to finish due to her diagnosis.
On May 19th, 2020, Lorrie was diagnosed with Glioblastoma cancer at the age of 28.
Lorrie was a loving and caring wife to Steven Garcia and mother to Cleighton, Logan, and Anniston.
When Lorrie wasn’t busy being a devoted mother and wife, she loved to spend her time giving back to people.
She would often sit down with the homeless to hear their stories and support them.
Lorrie was a selfless person that would drop everything to help those she loved.
She was straightforward in nature which helped to motivate those around her to be their best and achieve higher things.
She had a maternal spirit that guided her young peers and a strong mind to overcome the many challenging obstacles of life.
On August 20th, 2021, Lorrie shared her final moments with her family and passed.
Her last wishes were to donate her body to Life Gift and studies for Glioblastoma in hopes to help those with the same cancer.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Billy Goodman and Robert Williams, and maternal grandmother Antonia Saenz.
Lorrie leaves behind her husband Steven Garcia, sons Cleighton and Logan, daughter Anniston, siblings Kaylan Goodman, Cody Goodman, Dina Guerrero, Sarah Goodman, father Cleven Goodman (Susann), mother Robbie Stangeland (Tony), and grandparents David and Frances Downs.
As a replacement for flowers, please feel free to donate to Holy Cross Catholic Church or Studies for Glioblastoma.
Special thanks to Dr. Zhu and his lovely team at Memorial Hermann Hospital of Houston.
Thank you to Angels Hospice of Bay City, Father Steven of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Life Gift and Wingate Funeral Home staff for the warm care of Lorrie amidst this difficult time in her life.
Funeral services still to be determined.
