Vidor mayor personally delivers help

City of Vidor Mayor Misty Songe helped deliver a truckload of goods to the Blackcat football team Monday morning.
The Bay City Blackcats were set to take on Vidor in football last Friday, but Hurricane Nicholas’s effects caused the game to be canceled.
In recognition that many Bay City area residents were without power for several days, Songe helped collect items with the Vidor Pirate football team and took them to the Blackcats this morning.
On hand to receive the items were the entire Blackcat team, Athletic Director Warren Trahan and Head Football Coach Robert Jones, along with the coaching staff.
Senior Blackcat athlete Preston Rawlings is pictured with Mayor Songe in front.
Bay City ISD extended its gratitude to Mayor Songe, the Vidor Pirates, and the entire city of Vidor.
