In the Port of Bay City Authority election Tuesday, Nov. 2, for two commission positions, unopposed Matthew W. Ashcraft won Commissioner Position 1, with 1,229 votes.
That seat was formerly held by longtime authority commissioner Mike Griffith, who served several years as board chairman.
In the three-way Commissioner Position 5 race, Trey Treybig won with 568 votes or 42.48%.
Alyssa R. Dibbern came in second, with 469 votes, or 35.08%, and incumbent Tommy W. Countz received 300 votes, or 22.44%.
Matagorda County voters approved all constitutional amendment propositions.
The vote total was 1,707 - 8.01% of the county’s 21,303 registered voters.
