Van Vleck captured its fifth-straight championship of the Leopards Basketball Tournament at VVHS Dec. 10-11.
In the tourney’s fourth and decisive game, the Leopards beat Tidehaven 41-30.

“It was a great performance from our guys,” said Leopard Head Coach Billy Ramey.
“We played hard and together.
“Again, our defense led us to victory. We held them to two points in the first half.
“I am so proud of our team. We handled a lot of adversity due to injuries.
“Everyone stepped up and contributed. It was a great tournament for us.”

On Monday the 8th Grade Tidehaven Boys basketball team traveled to Palacios.
The 8th Grade “B” team won by the score of 21-2.
Leading scorers with 6 points each were: Kyson Rozner and Hunter Garcia.
Scoring 5 points was Cayden Walker, scoring 2 points each were: Aden Rivera and Jack Bonnot.
The “A” team won by the score of 43-20.
Kale Russell led the scoring with 16 points.
Scoring 5 pts each were: Boogie Galvan, Tristan Galvan and Adrian Cotton.
Scoring 4 pts was Bryce Sliva and with 2 pts each were:
