Bay City’s sales tax allocation for December was down slightly from last year’s total for the same month, while Palacios received a jump from December 2020.
These allocations are based on sales made in October by businesses that report tax monthly.
Bay City December sales tax allocation was $480.671, 10% down from the $534,475 the city received for the same month last year.
For the year, Bay City has received $6,583,467, down 1% from the $6,693,091 for the same period in 2020.
Palacios’ allocation for December was $73,583 – 23.6% better than the total for December 2020, which was $59,533.
For the year, Palacios has received $895,298, up 16.2% from $770,377 for the same period last year.
