Bay City defeats Needville
The Bay City Blackcats overcame Needville by 63-53.
With the victory, Bay City improves to 12-8 overall and 2-2 in District 25-4A-1 play.
The Blackcats traveled to La Marque in district action Tuesday, Jan. 18.
Ladycats beat Needville
The Bay City Ladycats thrashed the Needville Bluejays 48-36 in Needville.
The Ladycats stand 2-4 in District 25-4A-1 competition and 3-15 overall..
The girls were to play La Marque Tuesday, Jan. 18.
Van Vleck falls to Boling
The Leopard dropped a district game to Boling, 51 to 37, last Friday.
“Boiling played inspired basketball,” said Leopard Head Coach Billy Ramey.
“It was the best I’ve seen them play this season. They deserve the credit and a ton of respect.
“Our effort was there and our defense was good throughout the game.
“Late we fouled and they shot 9-13 from the FT line in the 4th quarter,” Ramey said.
