San Antonio hosted the Region VII-5A Swimming & Diving Championships on February 7/8.
Over 30 schools competed.
Bay City’s girls finished 13th, the boys were 9th, and the teams were 11th in the combined team standings.
I’m extremely proud of all this group accomplished this year.
Our kids have overcome so much to get here.
They’re a close-knit team and it’s impressive to see how much they support one another.
I think I can speak for all the fans they had up in the stands when I talk about how much fun it is to watch them get out there and race.
The UIL will be adding a 4A division for swimming/diving next year.
If we work hard in the off season, build our numbers, and have a great 2022-23 season, we hope to be very competitive in that new classification.
