Compact parking only in certain downtown areas

From BCPD

The awesome team over at Bay City Main Street Program as well as the dedicated public works staff worked hard at getting several downtown areas marked as “Compact Car” parking only.
Their hard work will reduce traffic crashes and collisions related to vehicles sticking out in the roadway.
During the next 30-45 days, our officers will be somewhat lenient and will seek to educate those that chose to ignore the pavement markings.
After the education period, our officers may issue fines/citations for the city ordinance violation.
Please Note: “Compact” shall mean a car or vehicle that is small and economical, no trucks, vans, or large SUVs. We have included the city ordinance 110-187 for your convenience.
