With the Easter Bunny on his way to Matagorda County, several entities are closing early.
In observance of Good Friday, April 15, the Matagorda County Courthouse and city offices will be closed.
“We hope everyone has a great Easter weekend,” said Matagorda County Judge Nate McDonald during Commissioner's court Monday, April 11.
“Make sure you get all of your county-related business done by business end Thursday. We’ll be back in our offices on the following Monday.”
The Bay City Public Library will be closed Friday and Saturday, April 15-16 for its Easter holiday.
The United States Postal Service office will be open on Friday during normal business hours.
Tidehaven ISD students have early dismissal on Thursday, April 14, and be on Easter break from Friday-Tuesday April 15-19 and return to regular school hours on Wednesday, April 20.
Van Vleck ISD students will be out Friday-Monday April 15-18 and return to school on Tuesday, April 19.
Bay City ISD students have early dismissal Thursday and has Easter break Friday-Monday April 15-18 with classes to resume Tuesday, April 19.
GFL trash collection will follow its usual schedule.
Bay City Sentinel offices are also closed Friday and will return to regular business hours Monday, April 18.
