A Bay City man died from a pickup truck-motorcycle collision in the 4300 Block of 7th Street Sunday evening, July 10, Bay City Police said.
When officers arrived at the accident scene at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday, they began providing medical assistance to the driver of the motorcycle, reports show.
Police said the driver of the motorcycle was traveling east in the 4300 block of 7th Street when the driver of the pickup pulled out of the Burger King lot to turn West.
The motorcyclist struck the pickup and was severely injured, police said.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Mark Hipp of Bay City, officers reported.
Hipp was taken to Matagorda Regional Medical Center where he died, police reports show.
The driver of the pickup was not injured. Police did not give the pickup driver’s name.
The driver was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way, police said.
