Cagle to headline Summer Concert

Country Music Artist Chris Cagle will headline the 21st Annual Bay City Rotary Club Summer Concert Aug. 20 at Bay City Civic Center.
Rotary Club President Jessica Russell announced Cagle for the concert at the club’s Bay City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture mixer Thursday, July 21.
Cagle’s first song was, “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out.”
Cagle co/wrote and co/produced his debut Gold Record, “Play It Loud,” which produced a top 10 single, “My Love Goes On & On,” a top 5 single, “Laredo,” and Cagle’s only No. 1 single, “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out.”
His “self-titled sophomore project” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and is Certified Gold as well, yielding two top 5 offerings, “What A Beautiful Day” and “Chicks Dig It.”
Other Cagle successful albums included hits like “Miss Me Baby,” What Kinda Gone,” “Got My Country On,” “Let There Be Cowgirls” and “Country By The Grace Of God.”
Nominated for Best New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music, and voted CMT’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2002, it was the stage where Cagle has always shined the brightest.
Cagle was born Nov. 10, 1968 in De Ridder, La., and was raised in Houston.
He moved to Nashville Aug. 3, 1994.
While in Nashville, the struggling artist held down several jobs as a nanny, waiter, prep chef and golf caddy, and scored a publishing deal with Caliber Music.
