If something is not working turn off and turn it back on again.
That is the number one hack for all technology.
Why is it that we don’t use this tip for other areas in our life?
You know God has geared us to sleep a minimum amount of sleep each night.
That is in essence the physical version of turning your phone off and on again.
Yet when we sleep we do not sleep for small amounts of time.
I cannot sleep for one hour work, take another hour of sleep, then get up, and then sleep for another single hour.
If that is done, the person will be tired.
Sleep is best when it is done 7-8 hours in a constant state.
In the same way with our time with God.
If we only ever give God single moment, you may, but most likely, will not have that great encounter with God.
This is why at church it is important to just worship for a while.
We need to listen to the word for a while.
We need to have a long encounter with God. Moses spent 40 days on the mountain and when he walked back, his face was shining.
So when you have the time on Sunday, just really soak in those moments.
Don’t wait for church to end.
Enjoy the presence of God.
Paul told the church in Ephsians, “that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
“Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
“Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.” (Ephesians 4:22-27).
God is calling the world to hit to the reset button.
He wants us to all turn away from our old selves and put on the new self.
The you who gets angry and upset is to be replaced by the one who is calm in the Holy Spirit.
The you that used to be late to work and events is to be exchanged for the one who is a person who is on time.
In all of our life God wants us to put on the new man.
It’s time to start asking God to do something new in our life.
Your past doesn’t have to shape your future.
That’s why we still have to be moldable like the clay.
If we stay with the stony heart, God cannot shape us and God can never mold us.
This is why God needs to make us a new creation.
As believers this is what He has done.
God has taken the old heart and given us a new one.
Allow God to shape your mind and actions.
Ask what God wants you to do.
Seek the Lord and hit the reset button.
