STP is committed to supporting the Matagorda County community and has been a longtime supporter of the Matagorda County United Way.
This year the company bolstered internal fundraising activities to increase the overall support offered to the organization.
Money raised through employee contributions, coupled with the corporate donation, brought the total donation to the Matagorda County United Way to $100,000 for 2022.
STP’s CEO Tim Powell and Chief Administrative Officer Al Capristo joined Caddie-Mendiola in presenting the check to MCUW Executive Director Elizabeth Quillin on Monday, Sept. 12.
“We are very proud to make this contribution to the good work the United Way is doing every day in our community,” said Tim Powell, STP’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
“I’m heartened by the generosity of our employees, many of which have significantly increased their donations this year to assist our local friends and neighbors in need.
Their willingness to give made the difference this year in moving our support to the next level.”
Between the months of June and September, a core committee of STP team members, led by Heather Caddie-Mendiola, developed and held of series of fundraising events which included a golf tournament, chili cook-off, bake sales, silent auctions and more.
Volunteers from all areas of the company joined in the activities throughout the campaign.
“Knowing the hardships that so many are facing now, we wanted to do something special this year and unite as a team to make a difference in the lives of area residents,” Powell added.
“I’m happy to say that our employees have once again shown the teamwork and spirit that STP has been known for.”
