Two people were wounded when a dispute ended in gunfire at a Bay City sports bar early Friday morning, Feb. 24, police said.
Officers were dispatched to Matagorda Regional Medical Center emergency room 2:06 a.m. Feb. 24, in reference to an assault.
Upon arrival, officers contacted two victims with gunshot wounds.
Officers were told the victims were injured at Joe’s Sports Bar in the 1300 block of 7th Street.
After speaking with the victims and others on scene at Joe’s Sports Bar, officers determined there was a dispute between individuals in the bar.
A fight broke out and the two victims were shot, police said.
Both victims were treated at MRMC for non-life-threatening injuries.
