   Matagorda County“Preserving the Bounty: Home Food Preservation”
   Texas AgriLife Extension-Matagorda County Service Family and Community Health will host workshops for “Preserving the Bounty: Jams, Jellies, and Pickles” and “Preserving the Bounty: Tomatoes, Salsa and Vegetables” on Fridays, May 5 and 12, respectively.  
   The deadline for paid registration is Friday, April 28.  
   Both workshops will be offered from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church at 5701 7th Street in Bay City.  
   Food preservation techniques will include demonstrations of water bath canning, salsa, and pickling.  
   The cost per course will be $30 and will include information on the techniques demonstrated - $60 total for both courses.
   Purchasing both courses at $75 total includes a discounted copy of “So Easy to Preserve”.
   Participants will take home a preserved item.
   The instructor for the class will be Dianne Gertson, FCH Agent Matagorda County.
