CAST’s ‘Red Velvet Cake War’ ticket sales open

       Tickets are now on sale for the Community Actors of Couth Texas’ (CAST) next comedy production – “The Red Velvet Cake War.”
       Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, April 21-22, and Thursday-Saturday, April 27-29.
       A matinee performance is available at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 23 – and all plays will be at the CAST Theater, 920 Nichols Ave. in Bay City.
       Adult tickets are $20 each and student tickets are $7 and may be purchased at casttx.booktix.com.
       The play is directed by Daran Norris and was written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten.
       It also showcases the talents of Morgan Watson, Victoria Mitchell, Susan Parish, Stacey Horton, Daran Norris, Kara Cowart, Kevin Knox, Gena Lea Smith, Mary Dykes, Steven Reis, Kylun Mitchell, and Lesley Scardami.
       The main plot highlights Gaynelle Verdeen and her cousins Peaches and Jimmie Wyvette, who are hosting the annual Verdeen family reunion and the timing couldn’t be worse.
       Gaynelle’s husband dumped her, she must pass a court-mandated psychological evaluation, and she has to bake a cake superior to her Aunt LaMerle’s red velvet cake or lose her house.
