The Bay City Aquacats competed in the 2023 Champs swim meet in Rosenberg on Saturday, June 24.
Bay City took 3rd place overall with a combined points total of 387, coming in behind Rosenberg (995 points) and Lake Jackson (577 points).
They competed against 10 teams in the CCAA (Coastal Cities Aquatic Association) consisting of Bay City, Rosenberg/Richmond, Lake Jackson, El Campo, Palacios, Wharton, West of the Brazos (West Columbia), Galveston, Alvin, and Freeport.
On July 8, a handful of swimmers move on to compete at the Regional level where they will vie for a chance to move on to State and compete at the 2023 TAAF Summer Games in Brownsville which takes place July 27-30.
