BCPD arrests 3 after high-speed chase

   Bay City police arrested three Palacios men on several charges after a high-speed chase from Bay City to El Campo, Bay City police reported. 
   The episode began when Officer Tristan Trevino of was dispatched to 1930 Post Oak Way in reference to a suspicious circumstance at about 3:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13. 
   Prior to arrival, dispatch told officers that the complainant said people were observed outside of their apartment possibly trying to break into cars.  
   Trevino contacted the complainant while other officers checked the area for suspects.  
      The victim said they heard a car alarm going off near their residence in the 1900 block of Post Oak Way.  
   The complainant told police they opened their front door and saw a subject standing a few feet away in all-dark clothing, reports show.  
   The subject started yelling to another subject and they ran eastbound towards the Meadow Chase Apartments. 
   While Trevino was speaking with the complainant, Officer Blademir Viveros located the subjects as they were getting into a black SUV.  
   Sgt. Reyna Perez attempted to stop the vehicle and a pursuit ensued.  
   The pursuit reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour and eventually came to an end outside of the city limits near El Campo.  
   Officers arrested the subjects and it was discovered the vehicle the suspects were in was stolen out of Palacios, police said.  
   Those arrested were Mason Rodriguez, 18, of Palacios, Jazrael Martinez, 18, of Palacios, and Mccaden Guevara, 18, of Palacios, records show.   
   They were transported to the Bay City Police Department to be interviewed by Detective Richard Morales. 
   They were later transported to the Matagorda County Jail and all were charged for tampering with physical evidence, evading arrest/detention, and engaging in organized criminal activity, police said. 
   Rodriguez was also charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reports show.
