A disturbance at an Avenue J residence led to officers charging the occupants with possession of marijuana, police reports show.
Officer Blademir Viveros, was dispatched to the 900 block of Avenue J in reference to a disturbance Monday, Sept. 4, shortly before 4 a.m.
While checking on the disturbance, Viveros peered through an open window and saw what he believed to be marijuana sitting on a table, police said.
Contact was made with the occupants of the apartment, reports show, and officers notified the occupants that officers were there to investigate a disturbance.
While talking to them, Viveros also notified them they were being detained due to the marijuana in plain view.
The occupants of the apartment were detained while a search warrant was obtained for the residence.
While executing the search warrant, officers located another bag with a large quantity of what officers believed to be marijuana, along with a scale, edibles, THC wax pens, and some firearms.
The occupants of the apartment were then placed under arrest and taken to the Matagorda County Jail.
They were: Quincy B. Travis, 21, of Bay City, Bryce D. Zepeda, 18, of Bay City, and Maranda R. Segovia, 22, of Corpus Christi.
All were charged with Delivery of Marijuana > 1/4 oz <= 5 lbs.
