"Arson fire destroys trailer home" By Dan Shook

   The Bay City Volunteer Fire Department, the Bay City Fire Marshal, and the Bay City Police Department were dispatched to a trailer home fire at 2101 Horn Rd #2, on Monday, Oct. 9, at about 7 p.m.   
   A local resident notified dispatch some rolled up carpet on the porch was smoldering and smoking.
   The first arriving police officer identified the front porch had flames and smoke showing. 
   The fire department arrived and was able to extinguish the fire in about a half hour. 
   The fire extended from the porch inside the residence causing about $15,000 damage to the trailer home.  
   There was no one living inside the home, it was being remodeled at the time of the fire. 
   No one was injured during the incident.
   The fire marshal performed the investigation and determined the fire to be a set fire. 
   There was a juvenile seen in the area of the fire’s origin just prior to the fire being discovered. 
   The fire marshal is still investigating the incident.
