       BCHS swimmers won several awards at the District 12-4A championships.
       Diving was held in Freeport on Wednesday, Jan. 17, and swimming was at El Campo Friday, Jan. 19.
          Bay City results:
                                 Girls
       Victoria Sliva (11) - 1st in 500 yard freestyle & 3rd in 100 yard breaststroke
       Lucie Frick (12) - 1st in 200 yard freestyle & 4th in 50 yard freestyle
       Kaydence Sanchez (11) - 4th in 200 yard freestyle & 6th in 100 yard freestyle
                                 Boys
       Genaro Flores (09) - 1st in 500 yard freestyle & 2nd in 200 yard freestyle
       Genaro’s 500 free broke the existing District 12-4A record.
       Ian Ramos (10) - 1st in 1 meter diving & 12th in 50 yard freestyle
       Eduardo Calderon (09) - 15th in 50 yard freestyle & 17th in 100 yard freestyle
       Boys’ District 12-4A Diver of the Year - Ian Ramos

       Top four (4) finishers in each event advance to the Region III-4A meet in Houston Feb. 2 & 3.
