Early voting for the March 5 Primary Election starts Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those hours are the same for Wednesday-Friday, Feb. 21-23.
“Early voting is a little different this year since we’ll be closed for Presidents Day on Monday – and it’s a federal holiday,” said Matagorda County Clerk Stephanie Wurtz.
Early voting continues from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, and from noon until 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.
The last week for early voting is from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, Feb. 26-March 1.
Early voters can cast their ballots at either the Bay City USO Service Center, 2105 Ave. M in Bay City, or Matagorda County Navigation District No. 1, 1602 Main St. in Palacios.
Philip H. Parker VFW Post 2438 & Auxiliary will host a “Political Forum” starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Post, 1672 SH 60 N in Bay City.
