Blackcats fall to Manor New Tech in area round

The Bay City High School boys soccer team’s playoff  ended with a 1-0 loss to Manor New Tech Thursday, March 28 in the state playoffs’ area round.
“Our state playoff run ends tonight. Our boys played extremely well and good enough to win but it wasn’t meant to be,” Bay City Soccer Head Coach Jesse Herrera said.
“The seniors had a great season and in the three years I have known them.
“They have scored over 250 goals, made back-to-back playoffs, were back-to-back bi-district champs and made it to the second round.
“We also scored 114 goals and had a 31-goal scorer.
“Their grit and determination will be a good reminder to the young players what it means to #BFND.
“I am super proud of this team and look forward to writing more history with the next generation of Blackcat soccer players,” Herrera said.
  “Let’s go Cats!”
