Junior High receives threat

   Bay City Junior High School received a phone call of a bomb threat to the campus around 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.
  “The campus immediately evacuated to an alternative site, and our students and staff are indoors during the current inclement weather,” reads Bay City ISD’s Facebook page.
  “We ask for your cooperation at this time, and please be patient as we will provide more information as we receive it.”
  Parents were notified of the threat via email along with the social media posting.
  Students were evacuated across the street to Nichols Street Church of Christ, while the threat was investigated by district and Bay City Police Department personnel.
  The district posted an “All Clear” announcement update at 3:05 p.m.
  “Police officials have determined that there was not a viable threat, and have announced an ‘all-clear,’” reads the district’s post.
  “Students and staff will transition back to the campus. Please expect a delayed dismissal at Bay City Junior High.”
  Bay City ISD also thanked parents for their cooperation in their post.
