Phillips 66 honors 2025 Science/Math Teachers of the Year

From Phillips 66

Phillips 66 Sweeny Refinery honored eight area high school educators teaching in the science or math fields with the 2025 Science/Math Teacher Recognition Award.
This ongoing program is a way for Phillips 66 to recognize outstanding educators and thank them for their dedication to their students in the classroom.
“Phillips 66 gives generously to Education Equity and STEM educational programs for students across our footprint,” said Jessica Follett, Phillips 66 Public Affairs Advisor.
“This initiative is unique in that we get to give back to the science and math educators who make those programs happen and inspire students to pursue further study or careers in those disciplines.
“Their students today could be our employees tomorrow.”
Each of the eight local high schools nominate their teacher of choice to be recognized by Phillips 66 and their respective school district at an annual luncheon and awards ceremony, which was held on February 11, 2025, at the Sweeny Community Center. Each recipient receives a $1,000 personal bonus check and certificate.
