Bay City police officers Ashley Rubio and Dillan Wakefield were sent to 4804 Avenue F, in reference to a vehicle that was running at the gas pumps with two males inside of it asleep at about 8 a.m. Sunday, March 9.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered Stacy Monroe, 50, in the back seat asleep, and Brian Franklin, 36, asleep in the driver’s seat.
An open container was observed in the front console and the smell of burnt marijuana was coming from the vehicle.
Both subjects were detained, police said, and a probable cause search was conducted.
Two handguns were located, along with 7.66 ounces of marijuana, reports show.
Monroe was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana.
Franklin was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and delivery of marijuana one-quarter ounce to 5 lbs.
