Girl Scouts paint Kindness Rocks

Girl Scouts from Troop 156991 take their Girl Scout promise “to make the world a better place” to heart.
At their spring meeting they painted Kindness Rocks to “hide” around Matagorda County in hopes to bring a smile to someone who sees it.
“Our goal is simple, to promote random acts of kindness to unsuspecting recipients by painting and sharing these rocks,” explained Troop Leader Karen Gibbens.
“One message at the just the right time can change someone’s day or outlook on life,”  Troop Leader Alisha Cornett reminder her troop.
Be on the lookout around Matagorda County for bright colored rocks sprinkled with glitter and phrases like “Be Kind,” “Smile,” and “You Rock!”
Rocks were donated by A-Team Landscaping/Concrete.
