Amanda Brooks Jackson, 71, of Houston, Texas.

Amanda was born November 15, 1953, in Brazoria County, to the late Hezekiah Brooks Sr., and Pinkie Mae Brooks.
Amanda was baptized at Bethlehem Christian Church of Cedar Lake, Texas, at a young age.
Amanda was one of the founding trustees of the New Horizons Church, which was organized in 1988, leadership of Bishop Charles Roberson Sr. and First Lady Carolyn Roberson.
She was preceded in death by: her father Hezekiah Brooks Sr.; mother, Pinkie Mae Brooks; brother, Elijah Brooks, and sister, Mary Jane Payne.
Survivors include: sons, Tommy Hopes (Crystal), Bobby Hopes of Victoria, and Andrea Hopes of New York.
Amanda’s siblings include: Hezekiah Brooks Jr. (Darlean), Estella Lewis, Lorise Cofield, Janice Hopes (Rickey), McLotta Fields, all of Bay City, Tennie Linear (Elder James Linear Sr.) of Angleton, and Izara Robert Brooks (Jana) of Houston.
And a host of grandbabies, nieces and nephews.
