BCPD: Text 911, if unable to call

If you are unable to call 911 or need to reach out quietly in an emergency situation, you can send a text instead?
Dispatch will receive any messages you send.
  * Calling is always the fastest and most preferred method for contacting 911.
  * Just like calling 911, texting 911 should only be utilized in an emergency situation.
  * If possible, be sure to include the nature of the emergency, your location, and what type of assistance you need (Police, Fire, or EMS).
  *Provide your full address.
  * Don’t send photos, videos or emojis, and avoid abbreviations.
