BCISD names Jernigan as new Chief Financial Officer

   Bay City ISD announces the the hiring of Farrah Jernigan as the new Chief Financial Officer.
  Jernigan brings nearly 20 years of experience in education and school district leadership to this important role. 
  Throughout her career, Jernigan has served in a variety of capacities - including math and computer science teacher, campus instructional technologist, network administrator, Chief Technology Officer, and most recently as a safety and security coordinator and CFO.
  Known for her strategic mindset and solution-focused leadership, Jernigan combines deep financial expertise with a heart for public education, a BCISD press release noted. 
  She is also a sought-after speaker at regional and state conferences, sharing valuable insights on school finance, safety, and operations.
  “On behalf of the school board, we are excited to welcome Farrah as our new Chief Financial Officer,’ said Jill Westmoreland, BCISD trustee President.
  “She brings strong financial expertise and leadership that will strengthen our district’s financial future. Welcome to the team,”  
 Outside of her professional life, Farrah is a wife, mom to three daughters, and grandma to one grandson.
