Bay City Ladycat Soccer
Bay City Girls Soccer had a rough go of it at last week’s Salado tournament, losing three matches.
This week, the girls, 5-5-1, 0-0) began their district schedule Monday, facing El Campo.
Next up, will be Calhoun at home Saturday.
Flour Bluff won the tournament that ended Saturday Jan. 10, at Memorial Stadium.
The girls are 5-2-1 in season play and will play University and Salado in the Salado Eagle Classic Tournament Thursday, Jan. 15.
Bay City Blackcat Soccer
The Bay City Boys Soccer team lost to Needville Friday, 2-1.
The Boys are 5-3 on the season and they also will start district play against El Campo Monday.
The Blackcats will host Calhoun Saturday, Jan. 24.
Basketball
Bay City Blackcats
Bay City Blackcats defeated Needville 87-46 there last Friday, Jan. 16.
The Blackcats are 13-10 at presstime and 3-2 district (fourth).
The boys were to play Columbia Tuesday night, followed by Brazosport there Friday, Jan. 23.
Bay City Lady Cats
The girls are 3-13 on the season and 1-4 in district.
They were to play Columbia, Jan. 20, and will host Brazosport Friday, Jan. 23.
Tidehaven Tigerettes
Tidehaven girls routed Rice Consolidated 47-18 there Friday, Jan. 16.
Girls are 23-4 on the season and 7-0 in district play.
They also are ranked No. 10 among Texas sports polls - TPA, Texas Girls Coaches Association.
The Tigerettes were to play Yoakum Tuesday, Jan. 20, and at Edna, Friday, Jan. 23.
Tidehaven Tigers
The Tigers, 6-3, 2-3, lost to Rice 38-47 last Friday, Jan. 17.
The Tigers were to host Yoakum Tuesday, Jan. 20, and will travel to Edna for a game Friday, Jan. 23.
Van Vleck Lady Leps
The girls lost to Hitchcock 97-41 last Friday, Jan. 16, and were to play at Brazos Tuesday, Jan. 20, and will host East Bernard Friday, Jan. 23.
The girls are 14-10, 1-2 and fourth in district.
Van Vleck Leopards
The Van Vleck Leps lost Hitchcock by a score of 62-48 Saturday, Jan. 17.
