From Tenaris
Tenaris welcomed 27 industrial maintenance leaders from its worldwide manufacturing network to its seamless pipe facility in Bay City this week, kicking off the company’s most recent Maintenance School, a two-week knowledge sharing workshop organized by TenarisUniversity, the company’s corporate university.
This was Tenaris’s first US edition, which brought together the group of professionals and supervisors from 10 different countries to enhance their knowledge of predictive maintenance and share best practices across the entire Tenaris system.
“Every Tenaris facility worldwide operates under the same quality, health, safety, and environmental standards, and it’s with workshops like these that we’re able to maintain that alignment,” Hernan Brondino, Tenaris Vice President of Operations – US, said. “Maintenance is a critical component to our industrial excellence.
“By sharing knowledge and experience to better understand our processes, we prevent unexpected shutdowns and keep our operations running safely, efficiently, and at the level of quality our customers depend on.”
During the workshop, the international participants had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art seamless facility. “It was helpful to see some of the cutting-edge tools and technology they have here in Bay City, so we can implement them at our facilities,” Shenbagaraj Gurunathan, Maintenance Manager from Tenaris’s facility in Damman, Saudi Arabia, said. “You can see how the technology here boosts safety, quality, and efficiency.”
“This has been an important steppingstone in my career,” Yevhen Ihnatov, Maintenance Analyst from Tenaris’s facility in Dalmine, Italy, said. “Bay City is one of the new centers of the Tenaris world. I couldn’t imagine a better opportunity to meet all of these experts and understand how Tenaris works on a global scale.”
The Bay City seamless facility has hosted several workshops for its industrial teams around the world, taking advantage of the advanced technology and onsite training capabilities.
