By Maegan Griffith
Bay City Aquacats

Well our meet got cut short Saturday because of the rain so we had to call it for weather.
Our parent association did let us make up our times this morning because we need them to compete in champs this coming weekend in Rosenberg.
Meet Info:
Alvin 36 swimmers
Lake Jackson 46 swimmers
Bay City 36 swimmers
Total entries: 373
We will be competing in Rosenberg at Lamar Consolidated Natatorium Saturday, June 27, at 9:30 a.m. for 10 years old & under and 1:30 p.m. for 11 years old and up.
The Coastal Cities Aquatic Association is made up of 10 city teams on the south coast of Texas.
The cities represented are: Alvin, Bay City, El Campo, Galveston, Lake Jackson, Needville, Palacios, Richmond & Rosenberg, West of the Brazos, and Wharton.
This is a summer league swimming program for people of all ages. Families are encouraged to participate.
The normal swim season is during May, June, and July.
After Champs we will move onto Regionals in Rosenberg - July 11th and  if you place 1st-3rd you’d qualify for state at Texas A&M July 30th - August 2nd.
Last summer we had 10 kids qualify and we’re looking to double that this summer.
