School districts countywide resume classes starting early next week.
Some districts have events connecting students and guardians with teachers and district staff starting Thursday, Aug. 6.
Van Vleck ISD campuses open Monday, Aug. 10.
“Meet the Staff Night” is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6 – Van Vleck Elementary’s event starts at 4:30 p.m. while Van Vleck Junior and Senior High Schools’ begin at 5 p.m.
Bay City, Tidehaven and Palacios ISDs begin on Wednesday, Aug. 12
Bay City campuses hosting “Meet the Teacher” events are as follows:
John H. Cherry Elementary – 5:30-6:30 p.m. Aug. 10
Linnie Roberts Elementary – 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8
Tenie Holmes Elementary – 4z5:30 p.m. Aug. 10
Both Blessing and Markham Elementary have “Meet the Teacher Night” from 4:30-6 p.m. on Aug. 10.
Palacios Junior and Senior High’s “Meet the Teacher Night” is from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6.
Palacios Elementary’s “Meet the Teacher Night” is from 5-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10.
Matagorda ISD started classes on Monday, Aug. 3.
