Tidehaven traveled to Flatonia and defeated Lytle 2 games to 0 in a best of 3 series in the bi-district championship.
In game one on Friday, May 6, we won 11-9.
Getting the start on the mound was Jordan Duran, going 4 1/3 innings getting a no decision.
Giving up nine runs - seven of them earned - seven hits, five walks, three strikeouts, and getting two outs in relief was Hunter Little.
Getting the win was Marco Garcia in relief, throwing two shutout innings.
Leading the team in hitting with a 4-4 day at the plate was Connor Claxton.
Getting two hits each were: Zach Garcia and Logan Crow.
Getting one hit each were: Jordan Duran, Jechan Duran, Marco Garcia and Chance Robinson.
In game 2 on Saturday, May 7, the Tigers won 14-4 in five innings. Getting the win on the mound was Jechan Duran, pitching five innings giving up four hits, striking out seven and walking seven. Leading hitter with three hits and four RBIs was Jechan Duran.
Jordan Duran had three hits and three RBIs, Zach Garcia had two doubles and three RBIs, Marco Garcia had two hits, Logan Crow was 1-1, with a bases-clearing triple. Connor Claxton and Clyde Griffith had one hit each.
The Tigers will play Blanco in a best of 3 series at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12, and at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14 – game 3 following if necessary.
All games are in Fayettville in Round 2.
