We traveled to Freeport yesterday for the Brazosport Invite.
We finished 4th out of over a dozen teams.
Girls
Sophomore Lucie Frick was our Swimmer of the Meet. She won the 50 free and was 2nd in the 100 free.
Our Worker of the Month for November was freshman Cali Morales. She puts in the miles and gets stronger every week.
Boys
Senior Chris Peralta was our Swimmer of the Meet. His 200 freestyle was one of our best swims of the day.
Junior Michael Vargas was our Worker of the Month. He didn’t miss a workout and he leaves it all in the pool each and every day.
Other notes:
We’ve had another pool breakdown (impeller, again), so we last practiced on Wednesday.
No word on when we’ll be back in the water.
Our junior high swimmers/divers have had a couple of opponents bail out on us, but they continue working toward their champs meet in January.
They’ll swim some time trials between high school events this Saturday.
As long as the weather (and facility) cooperates, we’ll host a quad meet this Saturday with Brazosport, St. John XXIII, and Sweeny.
