Van Vleck Head Coach Shannon Permenter said he was pleased at the Leopards’ first week of two-a-days.
“The first week was really good - 73 kids, all getting after it,” Permenter said.
“They know the bar has been set high now and it’s expected.
“We are definitely evaluating all of our kids and where they can help the team,” the coach added.
Van Vleck will scrimmage Weimar at home Friday, Aug. 15 (time TBA).
“Weimar will be very tough,” the coach indicated.
“They return 7/7 from a team that went two rounds in the playoffs last year,” Permenter said.
“They have very, very tough kids and run an offense that’s hard to prepare for.
“Should be a great test!”
