Tidehaven Head Coach David assessed the Tigers recent scrimmage against Shiner.
“We did well against Shiner,” Lucio said.
“I believe our ‘1’s scored twice in 24 plays and held them scoreless.
“We did have a couple of blown coverages so we will need to sure that up,” the coach added.
“Julian Stockton had a good day for us at running back.
“He averaged about 8 yards a carry and scored two touchdowns against their first team defense,” Lucio noted.
“The defense was lights out besides the two blown coverages.
“We seem to be about where I expected to be,” Lucio said.
“Our conditioning needs to improve and we need to continue to add on to both the offense and defensive playbooks.
“We will have a short scrimmage with Refugio on Thursday.
“We want to come out of it healthy and just look sharper on what we’ve put in to this point.
