The Tiger baseball team went 4-0 this past week.
On Tuesday, we beat Hallettsville Sacred Heart 4-2.
Getting the win on the mound was Ritchie ZGarcia, pitching 6 innings giving up 2 runs, 1 earned on 5 hits striking out 5.
Camden Johnson got the save with 1 inning pitched, no runs striking out 2.
Leading with 2 hits was TJ Galvan. Collecting 1 hit each: Ashton Klaiber, ZGarcia and Bryce Sliva.
On Friday, we traveled to the Hallettsville Sacred Heart tourney and, in the first game, we defeated Shiner St Paul 7-4.
Getting the win on the mound was TJ Galvan, pitching 5 innings giving up 4 runs, only 1 earned on 1 hit striking out 3.
Leading hitters with 2 hits each were: Kale Russell and Jechan Duran. Collecting 1 hit each: Ashton Klaiber, Ritchie ZGarcia and Bryce Sliva.
Later that day, we played Northside Homeschool and won 2-0.
Getting the win on the mound was Camden Johnson, pitching 7 innings giving up no runs on 4 hits striking out 5.
Leading hitter with 2 hits was Jechan Duran.
Collecting 1 hit each: Travis Riendeau, Boogie Galvan and TJ Galvan.
On Saturday, in the 3rd place game of the tournament (due to losing coin flip on tiebreaker to go to the championship game), we defeated Logos Prep out of Sugar Land 9-6.
Getting the win on the mound was Ritchie ZGarcia, pitching 5 innings, giving up 6 runs, only 2 earned on 7 hits, striking out 6.
Leading hitter with 2 hits was TJ Galvan.
Collecting 1 hit each: Ashton Klaiber, Kale Russell, Travis Riendeau, Camden Johnson and Jechan Duran.
Jechan’s was a towering HR over the LF wall.
The Tigers played exceptional defense outside of 2 innings lead by several nice plays by SS Klaiber and LF Riendeau.
