Game Notes
Corey Austin, one of the best players in our region who averages 21.7 ppg, did not play again. We simply could not make up for his absence because he does so much for us.
The difference in fouls V.V. 25 vs Tarkington 13 was amazing.
Also the huge difference in FT attempts: V.V. 3-5 (5!) vs Tarkington’s 24 FT attempts was a huge problem for us!
I am proud of how we never gave up and played hard until the very end. I am very proud of the amount of success we had this season.
Coming in 2nd place in district in back-to-back seasons only behind Hitchcock is a good achievement.
We have a good group of players returning led by Corey Austin and Micah Burks.
Our seniors will be missed. Peyton Huerta, Ty’lan Robertson, Ridge Huerta, Keemar Allums, Charlie Hill, & Marcavion Ruckett are all great young men and they have helped our program grow.
I am very grateful and honored to have coached them.
