Saturday's Safety Expo about available resources

Learning what resources are available during a disaster is a key facet of the LEPC Community Safety Expo this Saturday at the Tractor Supply parking lot.
There will be 30 vendors offering several safety services and products at the expo that will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 9, at Tractor Supply’s 4715 Seventh St. location.
Features at this year’s expo include food, bouncy houses and a coloring contest for kids, a pet vaccination clinic put on by For the Love of Animals, an emergency preparedness clinic for pets, representatives from many of Matagorda County’s emergency agencies and rescue demonstrations.
“We want to highlight the resources in this community in case of any type of disaster,” said Simon DeSoto, a member of LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee).
