Tidehaven to graduate 48

Tidehaven High School’s Class of 2015. Friends and family are welcome to join them at their commencement program at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Tiger stadium.

  Parents, friends and family members of 48 graduating seniors will pack Delvin L. Taska Tiger stadium for the commencement of the class of 2015 at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 29. 
   Valedictorian Joshua Kitterman and Salutatorian Kayla Grissett will be acknowledged and give their own speeches addressing their peers.
   Fourteen of the graduates are National Honor Society members.
   Following the valedictorian and salutatorian as part of the top ten students in alphabetical order are: Juan Espinoza, Erin Foley, Alysse Garcia, Bailey Pence, Brooke Pence, Radael Sustaita, Peyton Taska-Genzer and Fidel Vasquez.
   The class officers are as follows: president – Juan Espinoza; vice president – Brooke Pence; secretary – Erin Foley; treasurer – Joshua Kitterman and parliamentarian – Rafael Sustaita.
   Their class song is ‘Laughed until we cried’ by Jason Aldean.
   The senior class’ motto is from Muriel Strode: “I will not follow where the path may lead, but I will go where there is not path, and I will leave a trail.”
   The class of 2015 received over $160,000 in scholarships this year.
