During its grand opening ribbon cutting Friday, May 29, Stripes donated $1,000 to the Bay City High School Aristocats - who performed at the event - to further their education and studies in dance. The opening drew a healthy attendance from residents, members of Bay City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture and city council. Stripes’ opening has been long awaited since it’s the only truck stop between Angleton and Port Lavaca on Texas 35, said D.C. Dunham, Bay City Community Development Corporation executive director.
