District applauds welding students

   Bay City ISD Board of Trustees honored the 19 Bay City High School students who earned AWS (American Welding Society) certifications at the end of the 2015 Spring semester with BCISD Celebration of Excellence medals and certificates at its regular board meeting Sept. 21.  
   A BCHS record number of students, 22, tested, with 19 earning the welding certificate.  
   Welding instructors from BCHS are Bryan Brown and Bill Jenkins.  
   Testing was done by two inspectors for STP. 
   BCHS Principal Chris Townsend introduced the honorees, saying, “Our Career and Technology Education, and our welding program in particular, is one of our strongest programs at BCHS. 
   “These students are performing at the highest level and are taught by master teachers.”
