One dollar was current while the other was a replica of a 1940s dollar the post would have received upon opening its doors.

VFW Phillip H. Parker Post No. 2438 of Bay City celebrated its 75th Diamond Anniversary Tuesday night, Nov. 24.
The Post was founded on Nov. 24, 1940 by Wyatt O. Selkirk with a total of 15 charter members.
The Ladies’ Auxiliary was instituted on Feb. 28, 1947.
The post was renamed in 1948 in honor of Captain Phillip H. Parker of the U. S. Air Force who was killed in action in China in 1945.
